I hope that our American subscribers had a happy and safe
Independence Day! Our family decided to stick around here for the
festivities. Our house is only a block or two from the parade route,
plus we have a spectacular view of the fireworks from our living
room window, so we didn't need to travel much.

It's been about a week since we've posted anything on the site.
Not much has changed since my last
Market Update, so I don't feel
the need to repeat myself here.

This update does have a purpose, however. I recently discovered a
free, web-based course on Technical Analysis basics. Technical
Analysis is the art/science of reading charts to determine what a
stock or index is about to do next.

I've personally found Technical Analysis to be a simple and
reasonably predictable way of making money in the stock and
commodities markets. As such, I use it to help me make nearly all
of my trading decisions.

If you're relatively new to stock trading, I'd suggest that you go
through the course. It's quite short and it will help you understand
the terminology and concepts featured on our website. Since the
course is broken down into 12 parts, I might suggest going
through it in multiple sittings, giving yourself time to process the
information in between.

Here's the link:

Also, I'll be posting this to the Resources section of the site.

Enjoy your weekend!
